Respondent Audrey K. Wendland and appellant Donald H. Wendland were married June 29, 1951, and lived in Whitefish Bay. Children were born in 1952, 1953, 1955, and 1956. Both are college graduates and appellant is a pharmacist by profession. In the spring of 1963 respondent brought suit for divorce. In March, 1964, appellant served his answer and counterclaim, seeking a divorce on the ground of adultery. The respondent replied in July, 1964, admitting adultery but pleading condonation. On January 20, 1965, the trial court, following a two-day hearing, granted a divorce to appellant on the ground of adultery, but reserved its decision on the matter of permanent custody of the four children. On March 4, 1965, it rendered its decision on the custody question. Appellant appeals from that portion of the judgment awarding custody of the children to respondent.
